Jessica Loobey – Nashville Recording Artist
Jessica Loobey was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Western South Dakota, just outside of Sturgis. Aside from her love of country living and animals, Jessica’s admiration of music was influenced by her parents at a young age. She has loved to sing country music ever since she was about 5 years old.

Her dreams started to come true a few years ago when she joined a local duo, and eventually built her own band. Meanwhile, Jessica also released her first Nashville record in April of 2022. It features musicians of all calibers, such as Garth Brook’s pianist and guitarists who also played on albums for big names such as Tim McGraw, Steve Miller Band, and Rascal Flatts. Both of her released albums: Three Chords and the Truth, and Double or Nothin’ are available on all digital platforms, feature multiple self-written songs, and have over 200,000 streams on Spotify alone.
Jessica’s most recent accomplishments include signing a developmental deal with SSM Records, receiving three nominations at the Josie Music Awards, and playing her first paid gigs on Broadway in Nashville at Kids Rock’s Honky Tonk and the world-famous “Tootsies”.
Jessica has several show dates scheduled for the upcoming year and has a lot of traveling planned for the future!

About The Band

Brandon Schmidt
Drummer, Bus Driver
Brandon Schmidt, a Spearfish, SD native, comes from a long line of musicians and was introduced to music at a young age. With 27 years of drumming experience, he has been Jessica Loobey’s drummer for the past three years. His biggest influence and role model is his cousin, Shayne Hill. Brandon’s dream is to one day open for Sawyer Brown and perform at Billy Bob’s in Texas. One of his most memorable gigs was opening for Pam Tillis at Wild Bill Days in Deadwood, SD.

Jeff Roltgen
Bass, Upright Bass, Chapman Stick
Jeff is a lifelong music fanatic and bassist. From singing with K-Tel records in his basement as a kid, first rock country, and jazz bands in high school, and being accepted to Berklee College of Music, it’s been pure passion to this day. His diverse tastes include pop, country, jazz, and rock, having played in a variety of bands covering all the above and more. His first instrument of choice is the electric bass, but also upright and even the Chapman Stick, all of which he incorporates into Jessica’s show. His love of music and appetite for more is quite evident, on and off stage.

Kevin Wright
Lead Guitar
Kevin Wright is a well-rounded Rapid City musician, specializing in country lead guitar. He found his love of music in his roots, with memories dating back to his young childhood days of a family band. Although drumming was his first choice, Kevin found himself dabbling in multiple instruments before settling into full time guitar. His accolades in music earned his place in the Legends of Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame in 2023.
